Speaker bio

Stories that make room for one another.

Jeff Thungc is the author of Love in Wonderland and a member of the Iu Mien ethnic group. Born in Laos during the CIA’s Secret War, he fled to Thailand as a child, moved through five refugee camps, and later resettled in the United States. His speaking is grounded in a life of community service, translation, mentoring, and sharing Iu Mien history and culture.

Jeff’s speaking is grounded in overcoming challenges and obstacles. Love in Wonderland took more than 20 years to begin, then just one year to complete once he discovered the secret path forward.
